“Pato,” as he is called at the winery, is known for his good nature, southern warmth, love of music, and for being one of the most popular members of the Undurraga team.
Originally from the beautiful southern Chilean city of Punta Arenas, Patricio joined Viña Undurraga as a winemaker in 2009.
He currently oversees the production of export and varietal selections and supports Carlos Concha’s work with the Aliwen line, Sparkling Wines and the Titillum line.
Pato’s experience with Chilean wineries includes work with Viña Misiones de Rengo and Anakena, where he participated in the harvest and managed the cellar.
His passion for wine has led him to undertake several international business trips. He worked at Bodega Borsao in Borja, Zaragoza, where he oversaw the harvest and learned about the winemaking processes used for varieties such as Grenache and Tempranillo. In 2005, he worked in Sonoma Valley at the Sonoma Cutrer winery, which produces premium wines.
Patricio also has always been a remarkable and passionate athlete. As a football player, he won a national championship and two South American championships with Pontificia Universidad Católica. He also practices jujitsu and yoga.
